Step away from Canon in D!

We've seen hundreds of brides walk the aisle to that famous wedding song Canon in D by Pachabel because a) that's what mom told her to do b) that was what was suggested by the "church lady" c) She never thought about doing something different. The truth is, tradition definately has its place, but your personality and style has its place too! There is no rule that you must walk down the aisle to a traditional song, even if you're getting married in a strict religious setting. Here are some great suggestions for non traditional aisle strutting jams.
1. "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds
2. "Marry Me" by Train
3. "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional
4. "Yellow" by Coldplay
5. "Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop" by Landon Pigg
6. "This years Love" by David Gray
7. "The One I Love" by David Gray
8. "Slow Motion" by David Gray
9. "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley
10. "Feels like Home" by Chantal Kreviazuk
11."Over the Rainbow" by Ingrid Michaelson
12. "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Ingrid Michaelson
13. " The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson
14. "Gotta Have You" by The Weepies
15. "Forever My Friend" by Ray Lamontagne
16. "Wild Horses" by Rollingstones
These are just some of the amazing alternatives to the traditional aisle walking music. There are so many more out there, all you have to do is let your love be your guide. Sometimes letting your love decide is a better choice than 100s of years of tradition...even if mom walks the aisle kicking and screaming for it.

It's amazing to see that even as far back as 1926, the idea of capturing a wedding on film was considered really important. Here is an ad from Kodak for their film camera from 1926.
